Last day in Rome , off to the Vatican City ...woke up late (8:30) and had an awesome sleep "love you little blue pills (no, not Viagra). Headed up for breaky and then grabbed a bus right across the street after trying to find tickets. These little buses sat 10 and could hold 22 standing (not sure how though). Had fun times trying to find the Vatican, but only took a couple wrong turns and an extra 5 min's before we found it!
Went through the museum, the catacombs and then up to the top of the cathedral. Only 320 stairs to climb for this one "woohoo "piece of cake. Well the stairs were tiny in size and as we approached the top, they got more narrow and steeper. We made it…Sherry & I even hoofed it past a bunch of folks at the end, all this walking is paying off. The view from atop was just amazing. Got lots of pic's. As we proceeded to the bottom we toured around and the paintings on the ceilings, all the carvings, etc . Were really breathtaking.
We pit stopped before heading to the Sistine Chapel, grabbing a bite to eat and a beverage. Also took a load off of our feat "what a good feeling. A couple of older gentlemen...
