Wally meets...Port Vale's happy manager Micky Adams
19.11.10
Football managers are more renowned for spouting platitudes and banal cliches than quoting Shakespeare, Wordsworth or Keats, but Adams’ verdict on his under-achieving players 14 months ago was a classic.
“We looked like a woman who had a big fur coat, but underneath she’s got no knickers on,” he scowled. Even Stoke fans had to agree the imagery behind his rage was so funny it was enough to make you cry, cry, cry, Delilah.
Adams sounds sheepish when his great one-liner is recycled now, but it spurred his players into rapid improvement. Vale just missed out on the League Two play-offs in May, and this afternoon they are at home to fellow high flyers Wycombe.
“When you go into a new club you want to make an impact. I felt the players were accepting defeat too readily, and since a lot of them only had six months left on their contracts I thought it was worth asking the question,” said Adams, as he attended the funeral of his old Gillingham youth team mentor Bill ‘Buster’ Collins yesterday.

No Erections at all.. help..! =(?
Jun 30, 2010 by YoungCaesar | Posted in Men's Health
Hello Guys, I posted one similar to this yesterday and I wanted to reply but I have found out you can reply to your own post again.. so I am posting it here for more different options and thoughts on this serious issue.
Firstly I would like to say, I am 19 years old and I have a girlfriend..
I know I am not gay, as someone once recommended watching some gay porn. I am certainly not gay. I love females. I adore my girlfriend so much.. I wish I could have sex with her whenever I wanted, when we are in the moment etc.. But the truth is I just simply can not get it up at all.. it is really annoying and I have been with her for about 7 months and now it is starting to affect our sex life..
I never get erections at all I know this is going to sound weird.. at first I thought it was because I didnt eat properly, I didnt eat the proper foods, missed meals.. and then I thought it was because I used to go to bed until really late..
I thought this problem would sort itself out in time, but I have now been like this for around 2 years and have realised there is something serious going on now.. I know that being a male in your teens you are supposed to wake up with a morning erection and when kissing and getting touchy you should get an erection and when you think dirty you should get an erection..
I dont get any erection at all.. only if I masturbate for a while.. but it takes me a while to get it up then when it starts to, it is a weak one and it doesnt stay if I stop masturbating.. it goes straight away..
I feel so depressed because of this and grumpy/moody.. but I cant help it.. I honestly feel asif my life is pointless living.. I keep thinking how can I live a life like this without sex..
I have had sex before but because of this problem I used herbal viagra bought from a chinese herbalist doctors..
If I was to describe my penis, I would say.. I dont think there is a proper blood flow to it.. I would say it never gets erect no matter what the situation and I would also say it seems abit mebise numb?.. and cold most of the time.. I would also say it seems like it is constantly tired. =(
I am not overweight, and I am not underweight neither.. I would say I am normal weight.. and I am not gay I know it.. I always find female's attractive and not men..
Please help me guys, I am counting on you's.. I have booked an appointment with the doctor tomorrow and I am going to hopefully tell him all about this problem it is going to be so embarassing to tell him but it is going to have to be done sooner or later as I am so depressed about it..
Sometimes when I have masturbated and hold my penis it has a bend in it.. it goes off to one side.. I think it is because when I was younger I used to read up on different excercises to make your penis bigger.. well one day I was holding it and pulled it and squeezed it out towards my body ever since then I just dont seem to beable to get it up.. it doesnt seem to be the same..
PLEASE HELP!! and also what could I say to the doctor tomorrow? please guys.. much appreciated for your time
the website you gave me was not very usefull.. it was all about taking viagra forms.. I want to be able to fuck whenever I want..
You may have weakened the supporting muscles of your penis when you tried to stretch it. You can help improve erection firmness by doing Kegel Exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. They're the muscles that hold up your erection. Just google how to do them, they're super easy and there's a lot of information about it.
You may also have low testosterone. You can naturally improve this by training with weights. Anything that builds muscles will do the trick when it comes to lifting your testosterone.
But definitely talk to your doctor. If your girlfriend loves you, she'll be ok with you using ED meds to get a normal sex life for you both. She's already showed she's with you for who you are, by sticking with you this long. Just be open and 100% honest with the Doc. He's heard it all before, it's his job! He might order a blood test to check your testosterone or simply fill out a prescription for ED meds. There's several to try so if one doesn't work, then go back to him to try another type.
Best of luck to you.

My husband doesn't want me.?
Aug 19, 2008 by MommyMeme | Posted in Marriage & Divorce
My husband and I have been married just under a year and we have a beautiful 6 month old son (yes, I was pregnant when we got married and no, that isn't why we got married).
MY HUSBAND NEVER WANTS TO HAVE SEX WITH ME.
For a long time he made various excuses, during the pregnancy he sometimes said it scared him that he could hurt the baby (I assured him that wasn't possible), sometimes he's claimed to be sick or tired or something similar. Recently I found an old order form for Viagra and he admitted to having ED as a side effect of a medication he's on (paxil) and says that this is why he avoids having sex with me.
But I don't understand. Every 2 or 3 weeks or so when he can tell I'm getting REALLY upset about it, he'll have sex with me. Yes, it seems to take a bit to get him "ready," but he does, so is it really ED? He says he doesn't want to buy the Viagra because it's too expensive, but we waste PLENTY of money on other things, and I've bought him OTC herbal supplements he never ever even attempts to take.
I'm beginning to be more and more convinced that he just doesn't want me and it's killing my self-esteem and our relationship. I often end up sleeping on the couch because the rejection of lying next to a man who can't bear to make love to me is too painful.
During the day he'll often tell me that I'm sexy and grab my butt or cop a feel, or even say he wants me, but only when the timing is such that there is no way he could be expected to follow through. Our son sleeps through the night (7:30pm-6:am) so we have ample alone time, and not to sound conceited, but I am 24 and pretty attractive, and my body is pretty much back to normal after giving birth.
Hubby is 32 and somewhat overweight, which I know may affect his libido, but I have a hard time comprehending why he wouldn't at least be willing to take something. It seems he doesn't even want to want me.
We see our pastor for marriage counseling every few weeks, just for the basic stress and advice of being a newly-wed couple with a new baby, but I know he's far too uncomfortable to ever discuss this issue.
I don't know how much more I can take. I literally lose so much sleep over this. I feel like I'm slowly dying inside. This is making me hate myself and him. It may sound silly that something like this would matter so much, but truly it is eating away at me.
At this point even on the rare occasion that we are intimate it just makes me miserable and I want to cry at seeing how much effort it takes him to force himself to "get it done" like some distasteful chore he's been putting off for as long as possible.
I can't take this much longer. I need help.
Encouragement and understanding works well. Give him time and always speak your mind to him but avoid being tactless.

Erection Problems?
Mar 19, 2006 by Scott | Posted in Men's Health
Sorry, I'm kind of all over the place with this question, but I just really want some help.
I recently started getting physical with my girlfriend, only to be disappointed by some erection difficulties. My penis will rarely get hard and when it does, it quickly goes back to its flaccid state. I bought some Viagra only to find that as soon as my girlfriend goes to give me head, it goes soft again.
I really don't feel much sensation anymore. Is it possible that excessive masturbation might've made my penis less sensitive. I've cut down to 1 or 2 times a week for about 4 months and it hasn't helped to heighten sensation.
I also noticed that when I'm with my girlfriend I produce an awful lot of pre-cum. Could this excessive amount of pre-cum be the reason why I can't stay erect? I'm 19 years old for goodness sake. What is wrong with me?
An erection requires the interaction of your brain, nerves, hormones, and blood vessels. Anything that interferes with the normal process can be a problem. Common causes include:
Diseases and conditions -- such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart or thyroid conditions, poor circulation, low testosterone, depression, spinal cord injury, nerve damage (for example, from prostate surgery), or neurologic disorders (like multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease)
Certain medications -- such as blood pressure medication (especially beta-blockers), heart medication (such as digoxin), some peptic ulcer medications, sleeping pills, and antidepressants
Nicotine, alcohol, or cocaine use
Stress, fear, anxiety, or anger
Unrealistic sexual expectations, which make sex a task rather than a pleasure.
Poor communication with your partner
A "vicious circle" of doubt, failure, or negative communication that reinforces the erection problems
Erection problems tend to become more common as you age, but it can affect men at any age and at any time in their lives. Physical causes are more common in older men, while psychological causes are more common in younger men.
Call your doctor if:
Self-care measures do not resolve the problem and you continue having difficulty with erections.
You suspect that a medication is causing the problem.
The problems begin after an injury or prostate or related surgery.
You have other symptoms like low back pain, abdominal pain, or change in urination.
The treatment depends on the cause. For example, if the problem is caused by a hormonal imbalance, medication to treat the underlying endocrine disorder will be prescribed. Consult your health care provider for appropriate evaluation and management.
There are many treatment options today. These include medication, injections into the penis, vacuum devices, and surgery including penis implants. In order to treat erectile dysfunction effectively, you must be aware of and comfortable with the possible side-effects and complications that may occur with each therapy.
Sildenafil (Viagra) is an oral medication for mild to moderate erection difficulties of either physical or psychological origin. Sexual stimulation (visual, verbal, or tactile) is usually required to initiate an erection. Although sildenafil has become extremely popular, it is not a "cure-all," it is not an aphrodiasiac (that is, it does not enhance sexual desire) nor does it enahnce erections if you are not impotent, and it DOES have side effects. DO NOT order it online or otherwise use this medication without having seen a doctor in person. Sildenafil should not be used at the same time as certain other medications.
If oral medication does not work, various patches or injectable medications (injected into the penis directly with a needle) are available. Testosterone may be prescribed by either skin patch or injection, especially if the problem is related to age. Alprostadil, injected at the penis or inserted as pellets, improves blood flow like sildenafil, but less is absorbed into the blood stream. Therefore, it may have fewer side effects.
